
Bach's Lunch Series is Back!
The Fifteenth Annual "Bach" Lunch Series is (Bach) back beginning Friday, February 26th! Held at various churches every Friday during Lent, each program will begin promptly at 12:05 p.m. with a 25-minute organ recital. Following the recital, the host church will provide tea, coffee and a place to eat. Parent's Night Out
On Friday, March 12th, parents will be able to take the night off! For $5.00 per child, you can drop your children off at First Pres from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. All children, including non-First Pres families, are welcome. Feed your kids dinner before they come or send dinner with them and take a few hours for grocery shopping, errands or even date night! Space is limited, so RSVP to Debbie at 373-4242 x290.

High School Mission Trip: NoLa 2010
Sign up has started for the high school spring break mission trip to New Orleans! We will leave the morning of Sunday, March 14th, and head to NOLA. Students will be working with Beacon of Hope Resource Center helping homeowners with landscaping, painting and other unskilled labor to help rebuild the city after Hurricane Katrina. Plans also include traveling around the city, going to museums, restaurants, etc. to experience the culture of the city. We will return Friday, March 19th. Cost of the trip is $300. First Pres Cookbook
The Women's Ministry Team wants your recipes for a brand new cookbook due to be available Mother's Day, 2010. Take a few minutes to consider which family favorites you'd like to share. Recipes can be submitted via email to April Neely, mailed to the church or placed in the Women's Ministry Team box. When submitting your recipe, please include your name, phone number (for any questions before publication) and the year you became a member of First Pres. Entries must be received by March 31st. Men's Fraternity
Life should be an adventure, but too often it seems tiring, even boring. "The Great Adventure" challenges you to break free from the bondage of boredom and begin the great adventure that God has uniquely designed for you. Men's Fraternity is taking a break for the holidays, but will start again January 8th. Men's Fraternity happens each Friday morning from 6:00 - 7:30 a.m. at the A&O House just south of First Pres. REEL LIFE: Family Relationships
On Wednesday, March 3rd at 11:45 a.m., First Presbyterian Church will continue its lunchtime outreach to women: REEL LIFE. Janie Singleton, Executive Director of the High Plains Food Bank for 19 years, will address the group. The movie clip will be from “Thicker Than Water” and the theme will be “Family Relationships”. Janie earned an AA from Stephens College and a BS from WTA&M. She taught elementary school for several years before becoming a stay-at-home mom until her boys were in high school. Janie has served as Treasurer and President of the Texas Association of Food Banks and was Treasurer of the Central Region of Feeding America. She was active in many non-profit organizations as a volunteer through her association with the Junior League of Amarillo and Amarillo South Rotary. She is currently serving on the state association advocacy committee and the state Food Bank Executive Committee Janie was selected as “2003 Business Woman of the Year” by Women’s Division of the Chamber of Commerce, “2004 Sustainer of the Year” by the Junior League of Amarillo and the 2008 recipient of the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission’s “Regional Service Award” and was the Association of Fundraising Professional’s 2009 Professional Fundraiser of the Year.Lunch will be catered by Bistro To Go for $8.
