First Presbyterian Church welcomes John & Nancy Ortberg on Sunday, May 4 for preaching and teaching on Sunday morning and an exciting combined Sunday night worship service with the 4Amarillo churches at 5:00 p.m. in the First Pres Sanctuary.

Noted Pastor, author, and speaker, John Ortberg has been in ministry for over 40 years. The main theme in his teachings is life-transformation and becoming the person who God made you to be.
His wife, Nancy, also a Pastor and author, currently leads Transforming the Bay with Christ in San Jose, California. They will have powerful teaching and preaching as they join us on Sunday, May 4!
John's new book, Steps, is centered around using the recovery steps familiar in AA and other recovery programs. He believes that growing spiritually, one day at a time, will help us grow into the people God created us to be and bring healing and health into our lives.
First Pres offers a Sunday morning class called B-12, the Bible in 12 steps. It's a great group of supportive, honest individuals who are seeking God one day at a time. Interested? They meet in Room 204 at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays!
