~ Missionary: Chris & Greg Callison - Northern Iraq Evangelists to the Kurds – Varez, a new Kurdish follower of Jesus: Pray that he overcomes fears to make his decision to follow Jesus & witness to others. Pray that the Lord would move people to want to serve the Kurds in ancient Mesopotamia; that the Lord would guide Aaron & Maddie Beason in this context. Thank you to First Pres Amarillo for providing money to equip our guest room with solar panels for energy to heat and cool. ~ Digo (unreached people group): Pray for the 12 new believers to remain rooted in Christ and grow in faith as they undergo discipleship.
Sanctuary Flowers today are given today in memory of Mr. Lester Akard from his loving wife, Thalia Akard, and family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Babette (Bab) and Robert Smith in the death of Bab’s sister Joan Averill Kohler of Henderson, NV passed away on July 31, 2026.
Back to School Blessing is next week, August 16 @ 9:45am in the Parlor. We will have a special prayer during both services, as well as a free brunch and a chance to explore our fall programs & get connected.
